The Diversity in Dog Sports Initiative was created by the BJAC Co-Directors to foster inclusivity and representation within the world of dog agility. Committed to dismantling barriers and creating equitable opportunities for all types of people, this initiative focuses on empowering individuals from BIPOC, LGBTQ, and neurodivergent communities.

Through the allocation of a dedicated portion (20%) of our triannual Boundless Education Grants, we actively support aspiring individuals who may face systemic challenges and underrepresentation within the agility community. In addition to the financial assistance provided through our grants, the Diversity in Dog Sports Initiative will provide an additional scholarship spot at both our East and West camp exclusively for BIPOC, LGBTQ, and neurodivergent applicants. These specialized opportunities not only grant access to high-quality training and educational experiences but also create an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives and talents flourish.

By uplifting and supporting underrepresented minorities in the agility community, we aim to reshape the landscape of dog agility, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background, has the chance to pursue their passion. Join us in championing a more diverse and vibrant future for dog sports – where every individual, with their unique identity and talents, is welcomed and given the resources to thrive.

You can support this initiative by sponsoring the Boundless Education Grant, a portion of which is distributed to junior handlers as a part of the Diversity in Dog Sports Initiative. Please reach out to us on Facebook, Instagram, or the contact form on our website if you are interested in sponsoring the Boundless Education Grant.
