Eligibility & Rules:
Boundless Junior Agility Camp is designed for improving and building on agility skills. This camp is not meant for foundation dog training. Please read through all prerequisites prior to registering for camp. Questions regarding eligibility for camp should be directed to our email.
Prerequisites for Boundless Junior Agility Camp
The handler must be a junior handler, which we define as 20 years old and under at the time of camp.
All levels will be working on standard and jumping courses. This includes 12-weave poles, dogwalk, teeter, and a-frame. Dogs must be proficient on all obstacles and at least 18 months of age to attend camp.
Reactive Dog and Aggression Policy
The safety of our campers and their dogs is of the utmost importance to us. To enforce these safety policies, aggressive dogs are not permitted at camp. Reactivity is accepted on a case by case basis; please direct any questions or concerns to bjac.juniors@gmail.com.
Multiple Dogs
Campers are welcome to bring multiple dogs to camp (maximum, 3). If you wish to run multiple dogs each session, you will need to register for multiple spots. If you wish to split your sessions between the dogs, you will need to include each dog on your registration form. (example: Dog’s Name: Jinx/Lime)
Groups
Groups will be limited to 10 campers each. A video must be submitted alongside your registration form, so that we may place you in the appropriate group. When you select your group level, you may request the group you believe is the best fit, but we can not guarantee that you will be placed in this group. If we believe your skills would better fit in a different group, we will communicate this to you via email.
Non-Refundable Deposit
At the time of registration, a $250 deposit is required for BJAC East and $200 deposit is required for BJAC West. Registration will be considered incomplete without a deposit. This deposit secures a working spot for a camper at Boundless Junior Agility Camp. This deposit is non-refundable and will be accepted through Stripe. Once your registration form is received, we will contact you with payment instructions.
Payment Plans:
BJAC is willing to give approved families an extended period of time to pay their registration fee in portions. A payment plan must be agreed to by both parties and a contract must be signed by both parties.
We reserve the right to deny registration to any camper or dog viewed as unfit, unsafe, or inappropriate for Boundless Junior Agility Camp.
Group Levels:
Intermediate – Collect (Full - Register to join waitlist)
Great for newer handlers and dogs alike, this group is designed for dogs with sequencing experience including 10+ obstacles. Handlers may still be working on skills such as front cross/blind cross/rear cross, but dogs should be familiar with all agility obstacles. This group is also great for those training and competing at the AKC/USDAA Open or Excellent level, as our instructors are phenomenal at adjusting their exercises for each individual.
Advanced – Extend (Full- Register to join waitlist)
Possible JOAWC goals/past experience, looking to run more ISC/FCI style courses. Experience with backsides, threadles and other international techniques. Minimal to ample experience with international courses (FCI A1/A2/A3 level).
Camp Fees & Registration Dates:
Early Bird registration: open from December 27th, 2023 through January 12th, 2024 – $450
Regular registration: open from January 13th, 2024 through April 30th, 2024 – $500
Late registration: open from May 1st, 2024 through June 20th, 2024 – $550
REGISTER!
Registration opens on December 27th at 8 am PST/11 am EST.
Campers are required to fill out a registration form that asks for details about themselves and their dog(s). The form may take around ten minutes to complete and requires a payment method (for the deposit) to be entered before the form will be accepted. Because BJAC spots often fill up quickly, we recommend being prepared to complete the registration form and having a payment method nearby as soon as the form begins accepting submissions.
(The form also asks about your dog’s harness/collar/leash size for Non-Stop Dog Wear’s goodies. Please refer to their size charts for the Roam Collar, Line Harness, and Move Leash so that you are prepared to complete it).
Waitlist:
All registrants who register into a certain group after that group’s ten spots have already been filled will be placed onto a waitlist for that group. We do our best to move campers to the appropriate groups and make space for as many waitlist registrants as possible, but there is no guarantee that all waitlist registrants will get spots. All waitlist registrants will be refunded their deposits if they do not get spots at camp.
Apply for a LAP (Loaner) dog for camp:
For newer handlers whose dogs may not be fully trained yet, we offer the Lend A Paw (LAP) program so that they can still participate in BJAC. Apply below (once you have registered for a spot at camp and received a confirmation email) to be matched with a dog that fits your experience-level.

Kathleen began agility as a junior handler at the age of 5 years old running a Lhasa Apso. As a
junior handler Kathleen got to compete at Cynosports, AKC Nationals, JAC, World Team
Tryouts and made the European Open Team in 2012 & 2013. During those years, Kathleen had
the opportunity to love, train and compete with a wide variety of breeds, from a 24” Dobermans
to a 4” Norfolk terrier with shelties, border collies and Labrador retrievers too! In 2014, Kathleen
made the AKC World Team with her 3 year old sheltie, Whimzy. At 18 years old, Kathleen
became an Agility World Champion with Whimzy by her side as a part of Medium Team USA.
Kathleen has competed with multiple dogs at eleven international events with four trips to finals
at the European Open and earned three medals at the Agility World Championship. Kathleen
has taught agility for the past nine years and was last at BJAC in 2018. Outside of agility,
Kathleen is earning her PhD in Cognition and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach.
She has worked to improve the mental performance and brain health of US Military service
members, including with soldiers in Army Special Forces and Air Force Special Warfare. In
2023, she was the Mental Performance Coach for the AKC’s JOAWC Team USA and worked
with private clients in a variety of dog sports.

Desiree is a lifelong athlete who is no stranger to the field of teaching, coaching and mentoring. It is her
passion and what she has done all of her adult life. She has her Teaching and Coaching Credentials from
the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, and she also holds a degree from San Diego State University in
Athletic Training/Sports Medicine.
Desiree runs her own training company, Pace Agility. She gives agility seminars around the country and
abroad, and offers remote coaching. She also works as an instructor/coach at Run Wild Dog Sports and
Training Center in Auburn, WA.
Desiree has had the enjoyment of working with a variety of breeds. She currently shares 4 dogs with her
spouse; Daim and Pace at 14 1/2, Cru at 10 and Peak at 5 years old. All Border Collies. Her start in agility
was in 2004 when she trained her first dogs; 2 Siberian Huskies T’ai and Chi. They both ran agility for 8
years and were quite successful. Desiree is grateful for having had the opportunity to live and work with
both the Siberians. They were role-models and great ambassadors for their breed.
Desiree loves her chosen profession and enjoys seeing the light go on for both the humans and the dogs.
She believes that a great handler-dog relationship along with good communication and a strong positive
reinforcement history are big parts in setting a solid foundation for the team. She has been very focused
on the process of improving her team work with all of her dogs. When Desiree is not teaching or
competing, you can find her and her dogs hiking and exploring the magnificent area surrounding Mt.
Rainier in the State of Washington.
